Journey Senior Living – Our Profile

Journey Senior Living operates as a consulting firm and manages medical office buildings and assisted living/independent living communities.  Mr. Minton served as Vice President of a national nursing home and retirement housing management and consulting company, Vice President of Venture Services for a 350-bed hospital, and as Vice President of a corporation that developed clinical facilities in Southern Illinois for the Department of Health & Human Services.

Journey Senior Living

Blair Minton, CEO, has more than 40 years experience in all phases of the senior living and health care industry, including 32 years experience in administration, financing, planning and development services. A registered nurse, Mr. Minton has practiced nursing in both senior living homes and hospitals. He holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Nursing from Kaskaskia Junior College in Centralia, Illinois. Blair Minton served on the national Affordable Assisted Living Finance Committee sponsored by Fannie Mae and has previously served on the founding Board of Directors of the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition in Illinois. Mr. Minton is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA). ALFA is the largest national association exclusively dedicated to professionally operated senior living communities. ALFA works to influence public policy and has member driven programs to promote operational excellence.
